The semi-finals of the Senior Football ‘A’ Br. Bosco Cup delivered two thrilling contests, showcasing the very best of schools football and setting up a mouth-watering final between Marist College, Athlone and Coláiste Mhuire, Mullingar on Saturday the 7th of February.
In a dramatic encounter, Marist College, Athlone edged out Ardee CS by the narrowest of margins, winning 4-14 to 3-15. The Athlone side displayed resilience and composure under pressure, with their ability to take goals at crucial moments proving decisive. Ardee CS pushed relentlessly to the final whistle, producing an outstanding attacking performance, but Marist held firm to secure a memorable two-point victory.
The second semi-final saw Coláiste Mhuire, Mullingar deliver a commanding display against Naas CBS, running out convincing winners on a scoreline of 2-16 to 0-14. Mullingar controlled proceedings throughout, combining defensive solidity with sharp, efficient scoring up front to book their place in the final.
